Integrated Resource, Runoff, Recharge, Reserve and Recovery (IR5™) Methodology

Aquifer Group's IR5™ Methodology is a semi-automated, computer-based, five-phase approach to locating optimum artificial recharge and groundwater recovery sites using multiple scientific disciplines. This approach relies heavily on the proper and logical integration of a vast variety of scientific data. Geologic, geophysical, hydrologic, biologic, meteorologic, and many other data are evaluated by our in-house, enterprise-scale geographic information system (GIS) and utilized for analysis and decision making.

Our IR5™ Methodology allows us to quickly pinpoint areas receptive for recharge over wide areas, focusing only on those regions that will provide the best overall result for the ARSR concept. Within the IR5™ system, certain criteria must be met a multiple intervals throughout the process. These criteria help to focus our exploration efforts on superior recharge sites rather than poor or marginal ones, thereby minimizing our exploration and production costs.
