Aquifer Group is a Texas-based water and environmental resources firm specializing in the proper development and management of both surface water and ground water resources. Our primary mission is to ensure safe and adequate water supplies to our customers by the responsible management of water resources, and by the implementation of better and more efficient conservation techniques. Our staff consists of recognized scientists and experts in their respective fields.
Aquifer Group specializes in aquifer recharge and aquifer banking. Our Aquifer Recharge, Storage, and Recovery concept (ARSR™) builds upon, and enhances, the natural processes of the Earth's Hydrologic Cycle. The key to our concept is that groundwater is continually replenished, or recharged, as we use it. In a nutshell, a small portion of surface water that is usually lost, either bypassed due to flood events, or simply lost to evaporation, will be captured and "stored", for distribution and future use, when, and where it is needed.
Through our proprietary Integrated Resource, Runoff, Recharge and Recovery methodology (IR5™), Aquifer Group is able to routinely locate sites conducive to enhanced natural aquifer recharge. Our in-house technologies enable us to quickly determine the viability of these recharge sites, as to their required enhancement, necessary upstream watershed improvements, and as to whether or not the site will sustain downstream development. Aquifer Group prides itself for being concious to the needs of the environment, as well as to those of surrounding landowners and downstream water rights holders.
As an added benefit, our upstream watershed restoration activites are capable of producing millions of tons of waste mesquite, cedar, and other nonbeneficial biomass supplies annually. As such, our Biomass Feedstock Division was created to convert this byproduct into carbon-neutral, renewable and sustainable energy in the form of wood pellets, wood chips, or bio-gas.
